Control..

We may not always understand the struggle at the moment but it's truth will reveal itself when ready! God is in control! #amen  Releasing that control to God is a very frightening thing.  Now being in control of your life is a very frightening thing; or at least feeling like you're not in control of your life.. the truth of the matter is, you are completely in control of it.  God knows your path, every single bit of it & he will guide you to the exact place you need to be!  It's already been planned out for you.  No need to fret on the little things (although TRUST ME, it is very hard not too at times) everything will be A-OK! God is with you through this entire journey in this crazy thing we call life & he will bring us to the right place were suppose to be, at the right time!! Keep that faith!! <3

About Me!

I am a 28 year old who loves life! I love being around my family & friends, making new relationships with people, connections with people of all ages, hearing their stories of life, anything like that interests me!

I currently am battling a horrific chronic illness of Chronic Pancreatitis (CP), as well as Chronic Anemia, Sphincter of Oddi dysfuntion & (in this case more minor) chronic migraines.  I am in the process of getting ready to undergo a Total Pancreatectomy with Auto Islet Cell Transplantation (can you say mouthful).  This surgery means total removal of my pancreas(TP), & the auto islet cell transplant(AIT) means harvesting the islet cells (insulin producing cells) & transplanting them into my liver.(come again?) I want to blog my entire journey from beginning to end of surgery & life after surgery(which I'm a little late in the game since I've been battling this disease for a good 4years now but now is better than never)
I'm a compassionate, caring, sensitive, hard working, determined, very knowledgeable young woman & look forward to going through this new journey & expressing it all with you. :)

I also hope that my experiences & journey will help anyone else who is battling any of the illnesses I am going through as well.  If it helps anyone at all, just a little bit, I will have a smile on my face.
When I'm not stuck in the hospital or sick at home hooked to an IV pump, I love sweating & the way exercise makes me feel.  I'm a big home workout girl, & love anything that has to do with fitness.  The smell of new shoes always brings a smile to my face (it must be in my blood!) & going through racks of clothes is always good therapy to me..although my purse strings don't like it too me.  The medical field is my passion as well as my career, although spending so much time around it health wise I'm experiencing it from the other side a bit more than my taste of liking... STAY TUNED for my epic returned!!!  :)

Blog Virginity!!

I said it!! This is my official post… It won’t that substantial just because it’s pretty late, and I took too long trying to figure out just how to work this dang site!! HA!  I have started this blog as somewhat of a therapy for me, but also for some documentation as well for the upcoming months, years & so forth with my health condition.  As many of you already know I have a pretty chronic health condition, that unfortunately isn’t going away… CP – otherwise known as Chronic Pancreatitis.. and with that I’ve got a few other issues.. chronic anemia, because of the chronic inflammation that won’t go away within my body, Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction, a complication from having my gallbladder removed & chronic migraines (not a complication from my CP but a complication all in itself) lol.  Along with all of these issues, I have a LONG list of medications I have to take daily, along with a nice long list of meds I’m allergic too.. along with developing a lovely allergy to tegaderm this year with my PICC line I’ve had inserted.. something no one wants to develop.. (for those who don’t know what tegaderm is, it’s a dressing similar to a band-aid that is clear & pretty large to cover a sterile dressing or IV) Well it looks like I’ve rambled enough tonight.. I’ll update more tomorrow & go into more details about my condition, surgery etc tomorrow. :)
Goodnight for now. XO
